Peugeot today has revealed its new brand identity. The French giant also outlined plans for its future at a virtual press conference and Motorhub was there.

Former Citroen Boss and now Peugeot CEO Linda Jackson celebrated Peugeot’s 210 years in business addressed us first. She stressed how over the last 10 years the brand has been significantly moving more upmarket. She listed off countless awards Peugeot has won too. Jackson says Peugeot wants to create ‘quality time’ for its customers. She also mentioned how Covid has change the world. ‘Electricfication’ delivers quality time she went on to say. The creation of multifuel vehicles and electrification delivers the ‘Power of Choice’.

Jackson stressed the firm’s big ambitions worldwide. She also said Peugeot’s new pick up will be a big global machine for the brand. And with that she revealed the new ‘Lion’ logo that will mark out this new period in Peugeot’s history. The logo seems to our eyes to follow the retro design trend started by Volkswagen. Matthias Hossann pointed out the importance and global recognition of the shield design. It’s no surprise that Porsche, Lamborghini and a few other high end brands use a shield logo. As we say in Ireland, Peugeot has ‘Notions’.
