Tesla is set to expand its range of electric vehicles in Ireland with the new Model Y. Tesla has opened a Model Y Design Studio in Ireland to showcase the car prior to its arrival in early 2022. Two versions are on display; the Model Y with Long Range AWD and Performance. Prices start from €69,800.
Tesla says the “Model Y is designed to be the safest mid-size SUV. Built from the ground up as an electric vehicle, the low centre of gravity, rigid body structure and large crumple zones provide unparalleled protection. Its aerodynamic design and leading battery technology also make it highly efficient in terms of energy usage, meaning you can achieve better range with less energy. Model Y is also compatible with our current Supercharger network of more than 6,000 Superchargers across Europe, as well as our new V3 Superchargers, which can charge at rates up to 1,600 km per hour. As with all Teslas, Model Y gets better over time with frequent over-the-air software updates.”
