The BMW iX and i4 electric cars are set to land in Ireland this November and the German firm is rightly excited!
The BMW iX is BMW Group’s new technology flagship it’s the first Sports Activity Vehicle (SAV) conceived as an all-electric vehicle from the ground up. BMW says it features ‘the most extensive array of driver assistance systems ever fitted as standard in a BMW model. Crossroads Warning with city braking function. Steering and Lane Control Assistant available in many more situations. Active Cruise Control with automatic Speed Limit Assist. Parking Assistant (including Reversing Assist Camera and Reversing Assistant) specified as standard.’ The iX is similar in size to an X5 but with a lower roofline. BMW says the iX will feature a model-specific drive sound with authentic response to acceleration and speed. Standard BMW ‘Iconic-Sounds’ Electric enables integration of new sound variants produced as part of a collaboration with film music composer Hans Zimmer. The iX will be green in both its production and materials used.
