Renault Arkana E-Tech Hybrid mini review

28/01/2024 The Arkana is a great looking mid-priced mainstream crossover and with the addition of the new E Tech Hybrid 145 (full hybrid) model to the range it is safe to say Renault has most potential buyers covered. This is the Arkana version to go for if you want an easy life before you commit to a full EV withyour next car.

We tested the Hybrid on a variety of roads and in variable traffic conditions and were impressed by its power and also its ability to sip fuel – especially in ‘Eco’ drive mode. The automatic gearbox delivers an easy driving experience with smooth shifts. The combination of the four cylinder 1.6 litre petrol engine and hybrid drive electric motor works well. Throw in the appeal of the range topping grade ‘Esprit alpine’ and the Arkana really does turn heads. Arkana pricing starts from €32,590 (TCe 140). Arkana E-Tech Hybrid pricing starts from €34,420 (Evolution) with our test car in Esprit Alpine trim costing €40,690. Michael Sheridan
